The meeting minutes from the 2017 annual meeting in November have been posted, and the executive board information has been updated with the new members that were voted on during the meeting.
The HOA is still in need of 2 volunteers for the Board of Directors. These roles involve minimal time commitment, so if anyone is interested please contact anyone on the Executive Board for more information. During the December board meeting the board decided to proceed with a $700 per property assessment to raise the requirement funds to renovate the pool. The board has been discussing this issue for several months now, and feel this is the best option to help insure the pool remains open in the summers to come. See the November meeting minutes for more information on what the pool renovation will involve. The board is currently targeting Fall of 2019 for the pool renovation work to take place. The assessment will be due in 2 parts, the first payment of $400 will be due by May 1st, 2018. The second payment of $300 will be due by May 1st, 2019. The entire amount can also be paid in full at any time. Those who fail to pay the amount due by each deadline will be subject to late fees and will not have access to the pool, same policy that applies to dues payments The board will make a final vote on the assessment during the board meeting on January 14th, 2018. The 2017 Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, November 19th at 7pm at the New Mark Club House. Annual elections for the Executive Board and Board of Directors will be held, the draft of the 2018 budget will be presented, and there will be discussion about the major pool renovations which the board has been considering. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The first part of this month's board meeting will be a presentation and discussion with the City of Kansas City Aviation Department. They will be coming out to go over the latest information on the plan to replace the terminal at KCI, but more importantly they are looking to receive feedback on what issue and concerns are most important for us as residents that use the airport. The regular meeting business will follow the airport presentation. |
